2 authors appeal in 'Da Vinci Code' case (AP)

New Zealand author Michael Baigent leaves the Royal Courts of Justice in London, in this file photo from March 7, 2006 after giving evidence in his case. Baigent and Richard Leigh claim that Dan Brown borrowed the central theme of their book 'The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail' for his multimillion-selling thriller, 'The Da Vinci Code'. Both books deal with a theory, dismissed by theologians, that Jesus and Mary Magdalene married and had a child, and that the bloodline continues to this day. The two are taking their case to the Court of Appeal on Tuesday Jan. 16, 2007.
