I found this article:

If Ahiru was an anonymous duck who wasn`t central to the plot for every
frame of her appearance in Princess Tutu, that would be a different
matter, but I`ve watched the actual anime and, most of the time, she`s a
young woman and the female lead of the show. Big difference.

Oh, so you like the idea of buying 13 $20 discs to get a 26-episode show?
Gawd, you are an idiot, aren`t you?

Fuck off and get some porn instead like regular people do.

I don`t pretend, either. I be.

Food and drink companies treat me like I`m hungry and thirsty, which I am
sometimes (their advertising execs, on the other hand) but this is a
different issue. They deal in material that appeals strictly to your
mind. That`s where it stands or falls. I accuse anime and manga companies
of assuming I`m dumb because their work on a title treats me and other
readers like we`re dumb. I let Tokyopop`s marketing division know exactly
how I felt about their doing that to a lot of their manga in a
non-insulting/profane but still undiluted two-page letter last year. I`ve
been sampling all their new titles since that time, and, so far, I haven`t
spotted any of their old habits since then (the ones that started way
before that, on the other hand...). I doubt very much that mine was the
only letter they`ve received saying what I said, but I like to think that
it did help.
